Season with salt and black pepper, to taste, and stir to thoroughly combine all ingredients.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-20386-step-0-5\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8. <br\/><br\/>Actual cooking time will varying by individual slow cooker, so check for doneness after 2\u00bd hours (or 5\u00bd hours for low) and adjust cooking time accordingly. (The rice should be tender, but not mushy, when finished).<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-20386-step-0-6\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">When cooking time is complete, remove bay leaf and discard.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-20386-step-0-7\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Add a a few tablespoons of the soup to the half and half and stir to temper. Add to the crock pot with the chopped parsley, and additional vegetable stock, if necessary, to achieve the desired consistency.
