Old Fashioned Country Vanilla Ice Cream is a classic homemade custard ice cream with a rich creamy vanilla taste. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I wrote up the blog on Peach Cobbler<\/a> I tried to link to the Country Vanilla Ice Cream recipe as a perfect \"go with\". One problem, it wasn't on the site. So I pulled out my original copy of the cookbook that became this site and typed it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a wonderful manual ice cream maker <\/a>courtesy of my mother. She used it for years and as they downsized kitchens it moved to my house. It still works great so I can't really justify buying one that would go with my mixer<\/a> even though I think it would be a fun gadget. Besides, my sous chef can work for his ice cream by turning the crank every two minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n
