It takes a little longer to cook, but with the spices and sauce you don't notice the flavor or texture difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This recipe toasts the rice a bit before steaming. This cooks the outer starch which keeps the rice from sticking together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients for Whole Grain Spanish Rice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ingredients for this dish are simple and easy to find:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>long grain brown rice <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>chicken broth (or vegetable broth)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tomato sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>small can of diced green chilies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>low sodium taco seasoning (try <a href=\"https:\/\/thatrecipe.com\/tvp-tacos\/#recipe\">this seasoning mix recipe<\/a> if you
