Instead of throwing it out I decided to make lemons from lemonade. Well actually, I made ricotta. <br><br>Fresh ricotta is ridiculously easy if you follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/ina-garten\/homemade-ricotta-recipe-1923290\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this recipe from Ina Garten<\/a>, and let it sit at least 10 minutes before straining (she says 1 minute).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or skip that step and just buy some ricotta at the store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What kind of herbs to use for Ricotta Dip?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Use any combination of fresh herbs you have on hand. I used basil and chives, but you can use other fresh herbs such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>oregano<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rosemary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dill<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tarragon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>thyme<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>parsley<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fennel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>chervil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to make preserved lemons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The recipe calls for <a href=\"https:\/\/harvest2u.com\/preserved-lemons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">preserved lemons,<\/a> which are simply lemons that have been cured in salt. The salt draws out the water, magnifying the lemon taste. Easy to make, but there is one small caveat. It takes at least 3 to 4 days to brine them..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don't have preserved lemons use some fresh lemon zest and a bit of extra salt.<\/p>\n\n\n<div id=\"recipe\"><\/div><div
