The size and shape of your roast as well as your individual slow cooker can effect the overall timing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Blatant affiliate link and product pitch coming up!<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few years ago I bought<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2Qwtfw9\"> <\/a><a aria-label=\"this slow cooker with a temperature prob (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2Qwtfw9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\">this slow cooker with a temperature prob<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2Qwtfw9\" rel=\"nofollow\">e<\/a>. I just stick the probe in the thickest part of the roast and program the cooker to stop when it gets to the correct internal temperature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your slow cooker doesn't have one, use a meat thermometer and start checking about hour 5. Or get one of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3F4iDgW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">these fancy meat thermometers<\/a> that you can check with your phone.
