Luckily, modern pressure cookers cook dry beans in a fraction of the time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I used my <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2PUZ0RJ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instant Pot<\/a> for this recipe, but I could just have easily used my <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3eqDXQx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stovetop pressure cooker.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients for BBQ Pork and Beans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pork and beans are traditionally made with <strong>navy beans<\/strong>, but you could use cannellini (white kidney beans) or pink beans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canned pork and beans use <strong>pork<\/strong> fat for flavoring, which mostly melts away in cooking. You can use salt pork, ham or bacon fat.  If you want yours meatier you can use bacon, ham hocks or shanks or a ham bone like I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>BBQ seasoning<\/strong> I used <a href=\"https:\/\/thatrecipe.com\/gid-and-clarks-righteous-rib-rub-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this rub recipe<\/a> which I usually keep on hand. You could just as easily use a packet of premade rub seasoning.
