Even if you aren't a huge fan of soda, adding a little to the brownies adds a nice depth of flavor. As a matter of fact, my guys didn't even know what I had put in the brownies they just devoured them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ingredients for Dr. Pepper Brownies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The ingredients in these are pretty basic brownie ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- \n
- butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- chocolate and cocoa<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- brown sugar (way better than white sugar in brownies!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- vanilla extract<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- baking soda<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Plus the addition of two special ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- instant coffee<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Dr. Pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Neither of these special ingredients overwhelm the brownies and make them taste like coffee or Dr. Pepper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The coffee deepens the chocolate flavor and the soda adds extra flavors like vanilla, cherry, caramel and a variety of spices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Instead of Dr. Pepper you could also use root beer, cola, lemon lime, or just about any flavor you like. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
